1955 BEL AIR: THE DIFFERENCE A LOWERING KIT CAN MAKE
Last week we had a customer bring in a 1955 Bel Air for some work on the fuel system. It needed the lines flushed, the fuel pump replaced, and the carburetor rebuilt. We were able to address all those issues, but after seeing a photo of the car that we took, the customer started thinking about a lowering kit.
The car looks good, no doubt. But wouldn’t it have a more aggressive stance if it was a couple inches lower? That’s what the customer was thinking. So to achieve that look we installed leaf springs, shackles, and blocks in the rear combined with coil overs and springs in the front. Take a look at what a difference it made. Now this ‘55 Bel Air has some stance!
