Well it sure has been a while since I filled you all in on what’s going on around here! We have been very busy with anything from oil changes to super charger installs to full custom roll cages and everything in between! Since we are trying to get the word out that we also do regular auto repair – aka anything that doesn’t exactly make your car faster but does make it run longer – I thought it would be a good idea to let people know the difference in a standard oil change and a synthetic oil change. Most people know the obvious difference is in the price. A synthetic oil change can usually cost around $80-90 while a standard oil change costs around $30-45, depending on the vehicle of course. The old saying I always heard growing up “You get what you pay for” couldn’t be more true when it comes to this. With a synthetic oil change you can go longer between oil changes, it is better for your engine because it is a cleaner oil, and it helps the engine last longer. If you were to use the standard oil and change your oil every 3000 miles you would spend the same amount of money in a year’s time as if you used synthetic oil and changed it every 5000 miles. In the long run it seems like a no-brainer to use synthetic oil!
Spark plugs are the same way, many recommend changing them every 100,000 miles but as you know fuel mileage usually goes down when you hit 50,000. I would say change them between 50-60,000 miles to maintain efficient fuel mileage. Your car’s fuel filter is also very important to the fuel mileage. We’re always happy to check your fuel filter for you to see what condition it is in. The same goes with your air filter, it should be checked at every oil change and either cleaned or replaced.

So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them? (NIV)
