It sure was hard to get up this morning with the time change but we are here and ready to rock and roll. There’s a lot on our plate this week as far as racing goes – find a bigger motor for Boyd’s dirt car, and switch the motors between Kendall’s modified and Kristin’s late model. In addition to this we have the approval for a Camaro with an 800+ inch motor to make it street worthy, adjust timing and transmission on a ‘55 Bellaire, finishing the Panterra, and whatever else we pull in the shop. We are a few cars away from reaching full capacity. Last week the tow trucks were dropping them off faster than we could get them delivered!
We have found another “old school, hot rod” technician that I am really excited about. Our in house Master L1 Technician has more than he can say grace over and they keep coming in. He is swamped with a blown motor in a Dodge Ram, an overheating issue in a Chevrolet Silverado, an Explorer and who knows what else has come in since I sat down to write this. I know it’s a lot but I’m sure not complaining how the Lord is blessing me with more work than we have room to park in here.
On a side note, it felt good to get back to the track last weekend with Boyd. He took to the track like a natural and ran very well against guys I remember racing. For only being 14 years old he caught on to the full size racecars quicker than we thought he would. (I taught him everything he knows) Poor guy is down with an ear-ache today, maybe I’ll get a chance to get in the seat next race!
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
