Friendship Will Bring the Best Out of You!

I would never have thought that being put in the hospital for phenomena and pancreatitis would be a good thing. Aside from missing a few days of work it taught me a lot about our customers and friends. In this business it is easy to just do the job, get the car back to the customer and go on to the next one. Through all the years I have owned my own business I have made it a point to make a relationship with as many people I can and truly treat their “baby” in a way they would appreciate. I firmly believe this is why I am working on 3rd generation customer’s vehicles. It’s funny to see the Grandpa, Dad, and son who now has his driver’s license standing at our front counter — makes me feel old actually! When I was gone for those few days in the hospital I received phone calls, emails, and texts from customers that I didn’t think truly cared. It was very heart warming and made me excited to come back to work! When I came back boy did we ever have a load of cars waiting on me! Our extremely crazy 1969 Camaro street car that has an 854 cubic inch motor is getting very close to being complete. One of my favorite projects is a 1964 Chevrolet Pickup truck that my grandson says looks like “Tow Mater” from the movie Cars. It was bought brand new at Miller Auto Sales right here in Katy for $2081. How ironic is that!?! We also have the guys working on a 2010 Camaro SS that belongs to Jerry Hughes. He wants more power and by God we are going to give it to him! Racing is a small world – we have a young ladies Vette that we are re-working her motor to make some extra horsepower and a husband and wife Viper team that is getting a few upgrades as well. I wonder if they will race against each other?!?

All I can do is be the person I am supposed to be. Sometimes we step out of bounds but we have God to run to and ask for help and forgiveness.

Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
