What a whirlwind this week has been! It feels like we have worked on everything under the sun – 1965 Mini Cooper restoration, 2008 Mustang GT with cams, road-race car, state inspections, even a Honda Odyssey! We are wrapping up the 1965 Mini Cooper restoration (check out the picture of our stunt driver below – we had to find someone that could fit in it!). The brake lines are made, fuel tank is restored and now just a few finishing touches and its ready to ship. The road race car is Kevin Borque’s #10 NASA racecar and we are doing an engine swap for him – looking for a little extra horsepower since he saw my racecar roll off the dyno last week! Kristin has been working on our social media lately and trying to get the word out that we also do regular automotive repair – state inspections, oil changes, alignments, a/c work, etc… She wanted me to be sure to tell everyone that in the blog. Since we moved to Katy most people think we sell cars, are a museum, or only work on classic hot rods. They are always shocked to hear we work on regular family vehicles. That’s how I got started over 30 years ago in my driveway – working on my teacher’s cars to get a passing grade!
I better wrap this up – I have to set up a road race car, dyno a mustang, and finish a brake conversion on a Roadrunner.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
